2ND ANNUAL

GOAL SEEKERS 5K RUN/WALK

T2 Fitness’ 2nd Annual Goal Seekers 5k Run/Walk takes place, Saturday, June 2nd, 8:30am at Virginia Wesleyan University.
 
This is a timed race, with timing being administered by J&A Racing. The Goal Seekers 5k Race is for anyone who can run, jog, or walk (ages 10 and up) and who is ready to reach their goals for 2018! Race bibs include a space for you to fill out what goal you are looking to achieve and we will also have the Goal Seekers vision board on-site to write your goals on as well…because well, we are in this together! Participants can sign up for on-site participation or virtual racing if you are not able to attend the race in person. Whether you are joining us at Virginia Wesleyan or not, runners and walkers will out receive a finisher’s medal and t-shirt. Kids in strollers are acceptable as well for this race. Live music, plus post race snacks and beer will be provided for all finishers of the race.
 
Sponsors for the race include TowneBank, The Vitamin Shoppe, PepsiCo, and Phoenix Restaurant and Lounge. More sponsors will be announced soon. A portion of the proceeds will be awarded to the Beach Health Clinic and Clever Communities in Action. Early bird tickets are on sale until February 19th so head to www.goalseekersrace.com. Last year’s event was amazing and this race is shaping up to be HUGE so make sure you join us!

Half-Year Motivation, Run Your Best, and More!

Hello August! We are now more than half-way through the year. It’s not time to get comfortable, it’s time to KEEP GOING!

Do a mid-year fitness check: Have you reached the goals you set out for yourself? What are you doing to get back on track? Do you need to break your goals into smaller goals in order for you to fully complete them?

YOU GOT THIS!

We are in week 3 of the Sweat and Flex Bootcamp and this week we are focusing on running and jogging at our best pace.  Running is one of the main ways I was able to lose 90lbs and maintain my weight loss over the years. As a result, I am a big proponent of incorporating running into your weekly fitness routine.

Running is free, requires no equipment, incorporates all the major muscle groups in your body, and you can run whenever you want: all you need is a pair of legs!  This week, our Sweat and Flex participants will be running 3x a week, so feel free to join us.  Make sure you run or jog at least 3x a week before work, after work, on your lunch break or on the weekends.  

Your run or jog should last anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes.
